As a nursing student about to enter your junior or senior year of study, you could receive a scholarship from Maryland General for of up to $10,000. Our Student Nurse Loan Program is a cash grant, so you never have to repay the loan as long as you follow our qualification guidelines.
A Career Position Right out of School
Apply for employment at Maryland General now, even if you're in the middle of your training. If you're at least a junior and we accept you for full-time employment once you graduate and earn your RN license, you can receive a loan for as much as $2,500 a semester, or $5,000 a school year for up to the final two years of your training.
All you have to do to qualify is to commit to beginning your nursing career at Maryland General Hospital.
Loan Forgiveness
Your loan will be forgiven at a rate commensurate with the amount of time you remain employed at Maryland General Hospital. For instance, if you borrow the full amount for your final two years of education, that $10,000 will be forgiven after two years of full-time employment here.
